As the warmth of summer fades and the crispness of fall begins to freshen up the air, join us for a transformative 4-day Ayurvedic retreat in the breathtaking landscapes of Tuscany, Italy. From October 10th to 13th, immerse yourself in the perfect blend of relaxation, rejuvenation, and food inspiration.

With yoga, hikes, meditation, cooking classes, Ayurvedic nurturing practices, and plenty of time to reflect, journal, and reconnect to yourself, this is the perfect getaway. Join us as we move from the mind into the body and realign on several levels to leave feeling refreshed, with new food tools and better understanding of how to continue to care for yourself.


 

WHEN:
We open at 5:00 pm Thursday, October 10th and close together at 11:00 am on Sunday October 13th, 2024

WHERE:
Our beautiful venue is tucked in the mountains in the lush Lorenzano, Capolona, Tuscany, Italy. You get here by bus, train or a rented car after flying into Florence airport (1.5 hour away) or Bologna airport (2.5 hours away). Train and bus take about the same length of time as by car. FOR WHO:
This is for women ready for a break and being nurtured as we transition into the colder months. The days will be filled with yoga, cooking classes, self-care workshops, hikes, a local excursion and plenty of time to rest, unwind, and connect with a supportive community of women. The schedule is listed below.

The retreat will be held in English. Other facilitators and I speak German, Dutch, and Swedish.

  • Yin Yoga: Guided relaxation to unwind and prepare for the days ahead.

Friday, October 10

  • Morning Yoga: Start the day with a revitalizing yoga session.

  • Breakfast: A wholesome meal to energize your day.

  • Activity: Ayurveda Workshop & Cooking Class. Learn about Ayurvedic principles and how to prepare healthful, delicious meals.

  • Lunch: Enjoy a meal prepared with Ayurvedic principles.

  • Visit to Organic Nut Farm: Explore and learn about organic nut production.

  • Dinner: Savor another delightful meal.

  • Self-Massage Workshop and Yoga Nidra: Learn a grounding Ayurvedic self-massage technique for the whole body and engage in therapeutic Yoga Nidra practice.

Saturday, October 11

  • Morning Yoga: Rejuvenate with a morning yoga session.

  • Breakfast: Nutritious breakfast to prepare for a day of activities.

  • Guided Hike: Embark on a scenic hike to enjoy Tuscany's natural beauty.

  • Picnic Lunch: A wholesome Ayurvedic picnic amidst nature.

  • Return from Hike: Relax and unwind after your hike.

  • Cooking Class with Chef Niccolò Usberti: Learn to prepare a traditional Italian dish with Ayurvedic principles. Chef Niccolò, trained in Michelin-star kitchens, will guide you through every step.

Sunday, October 12

  • Yoga Session and Closing Circle: Reflect on your retreat experience and close with a stretchy yoga session before returning back home.

  • Breakfast: Enjoy a nourishing breakfast

MEET THE TEAM


Lisa Åkesson

Lisa Åkesson is a multi-faceted coach and musician. With certifications as a KIT Coach, Ayurvedic health advisor, Ayurvedic chef, and Yoga teacher, Lisa brings a holistic approach to wellness shaped over 16 years of passionate exploration. Her journey has taken her around the globe, organizing over 20 transformative retreats. In her one-on-one and group work with clients, Lisa excels at helping individuals find their authentic voice, reclaim their power, and shift from living in their minds to nurturing a deeper connection with their bodies. Her unique blend of skills supports profound personal growth and healing.

Lisa’s food is a taste explosion leaving you feeling nourished, content, and light. Ayurvedic cuisine offers a variety of flavors and fresh ingredients cooked to perfection. Both to satisfy the eye, the tongue, and the rest of the body. 

The slow-flow more physical yoga, yin yoga, and yoga nidra in Lisa's classes are approached in a focused, balanced, and sustainable way. The asana postures have longer holds to allow you to pause, breathe slowly, invite deep sensation, and full exploration of the practice. The style of teaching is a blend of Raja yoga, Ashtanga yoga, Hatha, Yin yoga, and more modern vinyasa flows. 


Kath BECK

After years of being passionate about nature and cooking, Kath has moved to Italy this year with her partner, to start their dream permaculture restaurant in the hills of Tuscany. She loves to live and cook with the seasons and the nature available to us, combining pure eating pleasure with healthy choices. Her passion for hiking and discovering the hidden trails of Tuscany will be incorporated in this retreats program as well.


Niccolo Usberti

Niccolo is an Italian chef who has spent the past years in Michelin star kitchens, perfecting his craft and learning from some of the best chefs in Italy and the Netherlands. He made the career switch from neuroscientist to cook a few years ago, following his passion for hosting people and cooking delicious meals for them. On Saturday night he will join us to teach and walk us through every step of his specialty risotto recipe so you can master and recreate it yourself. The dinner will be paired with natural Italian wines and alcohol-free options carefully selected by a sommelier.

  • Daily yoga sessions in the syles of Yin yoga, Slow flow vinyasa and Yoga nidra with Lisa

Not Included is:

  • Your travel to the location. Please get in touch if you need to get picked up from the train station or bus stop and we will do our best to accomodate this. We will also create a WhatsApp group with participants to coordinate shared rides and car rentals.
